Privacy Policy

Strind is designed around quieter communication, and privacy is part of that design. Message content is encrypted at rest, processed only as needed to route and protect the service, and kept out of routine business-console views.

What we collect

  • Account details such as your email address, display name, handle, and authentication data.
  • Device details such as linked device identifiers, pairing codes, firmware-related metadata, and connection state.
  • Message content and metadata needed to route, quarantine, prioritize, and deliver messages through Strind-supported adapters.
  • Trusted-contact settings, sender policies, and related account preferences.

Why we use it

  • To authenticate you and protect your account.
  • To route messages to the correct Strind user and linked device.
  • To apply trust checks, quarantine unknown senders, and prioritize allowed messages.
  • To support product features such as quick replies, device linking, and account management.

About AI and message processing

Priority triage is not sent to third-party AI providers. Strind currently uses a trust-first rules and heuristics pipeline for urgent / important / later decisions. Strind may use a small self-hosted local model on Strind servers for supportive features such as quick reply suggestions.

How message privacy works

Messages are protected with HTTPS in transit and encrypted at rest in Strind storage. The service decrypts message content briefly in memory when it needs to route, prioritize, quarantine, suggest a reply, or run automated safety checks. General operator dashboards show metadata and safety reasons instead of routine message text.

Safety and legal limits

Strind is not designed for routine human reading of private messages. Automated systems may still screen for credible indicators of imminent self-harm, violence, exploitation, or clearly illegal activity. If something is flagged and legal or safety obligations require action, Strind may preserve, review, or report the relevant information.

Sharing and providers

To make the service work, Strind relies on infrastructure and messaging providers such as hosting, email, SMS, or other adapter partners. We share only what is reasonably necessary to deliver and operate the service. We do not sell personal data as part of the Strind business model, including phone numbers used with Strind messaging routes.

Retention

Operational records may be retained as needed to run, secure, and audit the service. Quarantined messages are held for a limited period before expiring. Other account and message records may be retained while your account is active and for reasonable security, fraud-prevention, and legal needs afterward. Message content is not intended to be used as a long-term business-console log.

Your responsibility

Strind helps reduce noise, but you are still responsible for how you use it, including your trusted-sender list, device settings, and whether the service is appropriate for your situation. If your use case is highly regulated, safety-critical, or emergency-related, do not rely on Strind as the only channel.
